AIR AMBULANCE boasts housing the only simulator of its kind worldwide, used to help provide effective staff training.
The fuselage of a real Cessna Citation 500, which is now out of service, has been completely reconfigured, modernised and updated, fitted with exactly the same equipment and facilities as our working air ambulance.
This provides an environment as realistic as possible in which our Medcrew (staff) can complete simulation “Mock up” training. Such training is offered throughout the year to all Medcrew enabling them to work in non-standard locations.

Our simulator is also used for promotion and to increase awareness of what an air ambulance actually is, how it is configured and the type of equipment and facilities available on board;

for this purpose the simulator is exhibited to the public in the main cities around Italy. The aircraft simulator is transported on a semitrailer of a TIR extending up to nearly 17 meters in length and 2.5 metres in width. Currently parked in the 3,000 square metres of parking in front of our office, it is seen when not being transported around the country by more than 70,000 people every day.
